Finally, a site that combines the rigidness of print with the social value of blogging. Where everyone is a journalist, where everyone's opinion carries weight, and where people of all ages can go to read serious or funny or factual or opinionated articles, each as important as the next.
We are American Makeup, but we don't hold ourselves to a higher standard, as in, when we shoot for the moon, we secretly aim for the stars. Let all the other makeup websites have their moon, we like the stars better– it's more populated and real, and the food's better.
This is your American Makeup. This is not a site about American Makeup. This is not a competition with European Makeup.
This is an ideology. This is a gamble, a gander, a game. This is the Mayflower, and we are all but pilgrims. A journey, separating us from the common cosmetics perspective. A new take on the old, fresh in that we make it a point not to judge. We are denouncing a paradox by being that paradox. We are screaming from the mountain tops, "nothing has ever been beautiful until now!"
